Tyrol Tactics in TokioPosted by Travel 11. Juli 2018 in
On the 29th of June, 3 members of Tyrol Tactics started their trip to the other side of the world: Japan.
Our crew (mathisR , jeremyR, and florianW) arrived in Tokyo on the 30th of June and would stay there for the following 10 days. Needless to say, Tokyo met up to our expectations. We went sightseeing, which ranges from dwindling high buildings like Tokyo Skytree to one of the local most famous temple called “Sens?-ji”. Even though we were very busy with sightseeing, we didn´t neglect our duties as Tyrol Tactics and visited the District “Akihabara” which is worldwide known as a Heaven for people who are interested in video games, anime, and other electronic things. In Akihabara, there are several arcade gaming Towers (at least 20 meters high) which are run by SEGA. They even have a whole floor dedicated to VR games.
Honorable mentions: The unforgettable nightlife in Shibuya (We were present when Japan played against Belgium in the Quarterfinals in the soccer World Cup); The breathtaking beer garden in Ikebukuro; The hot springs in Odaiba; The old historical part of Tokyo, which is called Yanaka; the Government Building in Shinjuku and last but not least the imperial palace in Minato.
All in all, I can say that this is not the last time Tyrol Tactics visited Japan, rather the end of the beginning. Japan is an experience which cannot be expressed through words; it´s an experience you need to see for yourself.
